INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL TRAINING MATRIX

  1. Electrical Motors Controls, Test Instruments & Troubleshooting:  This course introduces concepts of electrical motors and associated electrical controls. Topics include: ladder diagrams, schematic diagrams, contactors, and motor starters, Star-Delta, D.O.L Starters, and related control devices, control relays, timing relays, pilot control devices, AC/DC motors, Motor Control Center (MCC). Topics will include Digital Multi-Meter, Clamp on Ammeter, Megger. Students will become familiar with the various meters and their application and learn to apply them safely and properly for accurate measurements. In addition this course will study troubleshooting electrical devices and circuitry. The focus will include using test instruments to locate and rectify common electrical problems typically found in devices and circuits using various troubleshooting techniques and process. Upon completion, students will be able to properly select, design, construct, install and troubleshoot motor starters and associated control systems.
  2. Industrial Electrical Protection Systems: This course will cover types of electrical faults, fault levels, faults calculation, Protection devices, Motor protection, Transformer protection, Cable protection. Upon completion, students will be able to properly install/troubleshoot protection systems.
  3. Electrical Safety System: This study covers various safety devices incorporate to process industry and control equipments for protection of the process plants such as intrinsic barriers,  electrical safety, Personal Protection Equipment, National Electrical Code, Laws and Safety Regulations, Hazardous area classification . At the end of this study, student should be able to recommend and use electrical safety system.

AUTOMATION TRAINING MATRIX

  1. Allen Bradley: The students will be exposed to the fundamentals of Allen Bradley PLC, different types: RSLogix 500, RSLogix5000, e.t.c. PLC Hardware, Program Files, Addressing Binary (Flag), Addressing of Programming Instructions, Addressing of Symbols, Communication Protocols, Input/Output Modules.  The students will use Allen Bradley software to create I/O, simulate process and program the PLC.
  2. Siemens: The students will be exposed to the fundamentals of SIEMENS PLC, different types: SIMATIC S7-300, S7-400. PLC Hardware, Program Files, Addressing Binary (Flag), Addressing of Programming Instructions, Addressing of Symbols, Communication Protocols, Input/Output Modules.  The students will use Siemens software to create I/O, simulate process and program the PLC.
  3.  Unitronics PLC: The students will be exposed to the fundamentals of Unitronics PLC, different types of series: Unistream, Vision, Samba Jazz and M91 series. PLC Hardware, Program Files, Addressing Binary (Flag), Addressing of Programming Instructions, Addressing of Symbols, Communication Protocols, Input/Output Modules. The students will use Unitronics software to create I/O, simulate process and program the PLC.
  4. The students will program VFD and Servo Drives.

INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TRAINING MATRIX

The fire and gas detection training covers:

  1. Control System: This study covers the fundamentals and terminologies of Instrumentation & Control. The student will be taught different modes of Controls Actions of  Controllers: Proportional, Integral & Differential Control; different types of Loops: Open loop, Closed Loop, Single Loop and Multi-loops; different types of Controls:  Feedback, Feed-forward, Ratio, Split- Range, and Cascade. The student will be exposed to  4-20 mA and 3-15 PSI interpolation.
  2. ​Valves: The participants will be exposed to different types of Valves, Modes of Operation, components and accessories of different types of valves.
  3. Process Measurement and Control: The student will be exposed to electronic/pneumatic instrumentation devices commonly used in process measurement and control systems. Topics include electrical and mechanical transducers/transmitters and control valves used in the measurement and control of the following process variables: temperature, pressure, flow, level and position. Upon successful completion, the student will be able to install, and maintain process measurement and control systems.
  4. Drawings & Troubleshooting: This study covers essential diagrams in Instrumentation & Control, how to use them for process understanding and troubleshooting. At the end of this study, student should be able to read and understand P&ID, PEFS, Loop drawing and Logic drawing. Upon completion, the student will be able to troubleshoot with drawings.
  5. Electrical Controls:  This study covers how to read electrical Schematic Drawing, and Relay Ladder logic. The students will be exposed to the electrical components of a control panel and have hands-on practical on wiring of electrical control panels.
  6. Calibration:  This study covers principles and methods of calibration, the student will have hands-on practical experience in calibration of transmitters, switches, gauges and control valves
